CONTACT USSoccer is the national sports in Brazil. It was introduced to the country in 1894 by a Charles Miller, a young Brazilian that after coming from England brings two balls and arranged the first official match in Brazil soccer history.
The first team in Brazil soccer history was the Sao Paulo Athletic Club. In spite of being considered the national sports, the Brazil soccer was not well seen until the 20s. At the beginning the intellectual class was against the practice of soccer in Brazil, because they thought it will increase difference in the Brazilian society. The first record of professional soccer players in Brazil soccer, it was seen in the factories where the operators who were good players, because they played against each other and the winning teams get famous and so the products of that factory. And because of that, the operators who were good players obtain better salaries.
